In 1966 George and John both changed their onstage guitars
In 1966 George and John both changed their onstage guitars from Grestch (George) and Rickenbacker (John) to the Epiphone Casino.
These guitars gave a raunchier sound which was favoured by the current “heavier” bands of the time.
